Here's how things went yesterday:

I worked on an unfinished poem for the Jane project about her writing the ending of the novel now known as Persuasion. I made decent progress, but hit a stopping point because I didn't have my copy of Persuasion at hand.

No problem, thought I. I will head off to the cave of revision with the gnomes.Fortified by ( Read more... )

The gnomes bug you when you work on Jane.

Now, Jane bugs you when you work on gnomes.

I think it's time for Jane meets the (drunken?) gnomes!

Hell, somebody seems to be having quite a run with Jane meeting zombies and sea monsters, why not drunken gnomes?

I hope not to see a run-in with drunken gnomes, but it's possible they're trying to cash in on Jane with Mansfield Park and It's Dangerous Lawn Ornaments.

I don't know, Kelly, you seem keyed up for some creativity work today. The gnomes might need a case or so. It looks like Jane's gonna get you. I really enjoyed this post.

Right about now, I'd welcome something new. Just to break the struggle between revisions on a gnome chapter book and continued writing for the Jane project.

I wish you luck with your new project!

HA! And I'm not surprised there's a special kind of insistence to Jane's toe-tapping.

May the best gnome/Jane/Kelly win!

Between the hubbub from the gnomes and Jane's quiet insistence, I'm having a tough time concentrating on anything at all. I believe I'll take a shower and eat something . . .
