Scary Things Come Out at Night
by Kelly R. Fineman

Scary things come out at night
Ghosts that boo! and bats that bite;
Warlocks cloaked in purple capes;
Satyrs wearing wreaths of grapes.
Sometimes you might spy a witch
Or a hunchback with a twitch
Don’t be frightened by this scene -
After all, it’s Halloween!

Your poem gets the "Hey...that's good!" stamp of approval from my 6-year-old. (I liked it, too!)

I understood that poem and liked it. You might just turn me onto poetry yet, Kelly!

Go me!

If you don't like poetry, it's just that you don't know the right poets yet. Something out there will sing to you, I'm certain!
