got mine from amazon this morn about 10:30.... haven't finished it yet, but am enjoying it. I too am ready to read the whole thing again. Am wondering, did the CD version get sent out today too? My nephew hates to read but has all the cd versions. He considers that his favorite sound as he sleeps to the stories every night, or rather, the familiar reading of them at this point.

It was available for sale today, so I'm gonna go out on a limb and guess yes.
Jim Dale finished recording it 6-7 weeks ago.

I had to put it down to go to dinner with friends. And I was decidedly poor company for the trip there and much of the dinner -- it's hard to pull yourself out of once you get in. My 12-yo is reading it while visiting my folks, and she's done little but read since it arrived, although she made time for one dip in the pool.

That was my experience as well-- I was pleased that most of the people I dearly wanted to survive did so. And, well-- pretty much by the whole thing, though there was one creature that I believed would have a secret to reveal, and the secret was not revealed...
