Isn't there a game called Peanuckle? Or something like that? Old people seem to like it.

Also, you need to use phrases like "Heaven's to Betsy" and "That's for the Birds" a lot.

You need to get your hair done a lot. The old woman haircut. You know the one.

Penny Slots.

Clint already makes fun of my old-timey sayings and I'm not even trying, so I'm pretty sure I have that one covered.

Penny slots--done.

Always have a kettle whistling on the stove... just in case you really need some hot tea at a moments notice. Never know when hot tea guests might come rapping at your door.

Make a list of which birds you saw in the garden today. And the next day, and the next day, et cetera. Also how much rain you got in the rain gauge each day.

Also, are you driving a Buick yet?

Oooh, I DO have a rain guage already. I haven't gotten into the bird watching yet, though.

I just Google Image Searched the Buick Lucerne, which made this comment way funny.

man, you REALLY need to learn how to make peanut brittle. a lady where i used to work made the best peanut brittle ever. i might have to call her up and see if she has any extra layin' around.

My Aunt Shirley (who's 73) makes the best I've ever had... she will only make it when it's a certain temperature outside, because a part of her recipe includes taking the pans outside and "letting the air do its job."

I need to know what the hell's up with that.

i think a lot of making good peanut brittle is getting everything to be exactly the right temperature.
