And when the book gets big, friends will report that they overheard things in public places about it like:
"Did you get to the dopplar radar part yet?" and "No, no, no! Dont ruin the dopplar chapter for me!"
maybe "It's not you, it's me. I just finished reading about dopplar radar and I can't stop crying."

Dude, seriously! This just totally made my day.

They'll say "What's up with the Dopplar? What does it all mean?" and the friend will say sagely "It'll all make sense in the end. Have you read about the river yet? No? Don't worry. It'll all come together..."
