Somehow I seem to inadvertently follow certain trends in movie-watching. This weekend's trend was movies that mess with your head. One was done very well, one was done poorly, and one was right in the middle.

So without further ado...

As a fellow Christian Bale fan, I have to suggest that you watch Empire of the Sun if you haven't seen it and also American Psycho. Two completely different views of Bale, but incredibly good movies. I have actually seen all of Bale's films up to this point and am really looking forward to seeing Terminator 4.

Added Empire of the Sun to our Netflix queue.

He was great in American Psycho. So freaky. I can't listen to Huey Lewis & the News without being a little creeped out.

Jason's psyched about T4. I haven't seen any of the others, so I feel unprepared. But I dislike Ahnold so much, I'm not sure I want to watch them!

Sadly, the most interesing part of Stay was Ewan McGregor's pants. At least they didn't make them the same person. That would have really ticked me off. The "wizard of oz" ending was kind of neat, but ultimately at the end of the day on main street this movie offered little hope. It was business as usual wait... when did I start soundling like Obama?

Like Timline, not even a talented Scot could save this movie from itself. Oh, and if you're 14 and renting this movie because it says racy thinking you will see some boobage, you will be disappointed too. There's nothing really racy about this movie.

His pants tripped me out. It was a relief to find out their length had an actual purpose.

I don't mind Wizard of Oz endings. [I love Wizard of Oz!] As long as I don't feel I have wasted my time. Dorothy lived to learn something from her "dream". Henry died and learned nothing. The people who were affected by him had no idea of the part they played in his life. It was a waste. That was my big issue with it.
