I have to buy my husband a Snuggie.*

*Technically, I don't HAVE to, but my mom gave me a fluffy new robe for Christmas and this may be the only way I can get it back. I am somewhat comforted by the fact that I know I am not the only LJer this has happened to. I won't out anybody but you know who you are and I'm thinking of you.

May I recommend just buying him his own robe? Consumer Reports checked out the Snuggie phenomenon, and says they're made of buckets of fail. They don't keep people warm, and they're threadbare and falling apart after just a few washings. Cheaper to get him his own robe. Aside from that, I sympathize!

Let him keep the robe. Buy yourself a Slanket.

Leaves the Snuggie in the dust, and I wish I had one for this freaking coldsnap.

I was going to say the same - I read a site that compared all the blankets-with-sleeves and the Slanket came out on top.

I have been in a Slanket. The kingsize is big enough to share with another person. It's heavy and soft, and fluffy all at the same time.

The Snuggie isn't even worth the $20. It's thin flannel. It'll need replacing after two washes. You're not saving any money buying a lesser product, I promise you.

Okay, it's me. Or my husband, really.
