i think the bigger problem is that raping a woman would somehow truly be more palatable, and that there's no outcry there until someone points the fact out, and the outcry is only to silence him from saying it aloud.

I think this goes right in line with my whole 'pussification of the United States' theory. People are too fucking whiney and incensed at the most trivial subject matter. Really? A sports commentary? Grow some skin, suck it up, build a bridge, and get the fuck over it.
