Sorry to hear about the power surge. Nothing like the untimely frying of electrical equipment to mess up your week. Glad to hear you got your contacts, though, since they were causing you such grief at the last show. Also, thanks for the link on Fellowship! The Musical. I've heard great things about it but haven't had the chance to check it out yet.
Hope this week is going better for you.

I went to the very first screening of the movie way back in November. My buddy, Libya, called me when she snagged a few extra tickets to the audience screening. After that, Joss set up a number of different screenings around the country (plus Canada and the UK), and folks nearly broke through concrete walls to secure passes to them.
They're not doing anymore audience screenings now with the moving coming out so soon. But for those who attended the Firefly testimonials at Universal City last Wednesday, they got to attend the official LA press screening yesterday down at Mann's in Hollywood. It was for the press, the testimonial group, and the first 100 fans who could make it through the door. My buddy, Suzanne, was one of the 100. I think she got down there about 3 hours before they opened the doors for the screening.
Thanks for the positive vibes. I could definitely use them. See you Friday at the SCB show, right?

Your roommate had a lot of nerve hiring that maid and expecting you to pay. Don't.
I'm so sorry about your appliances.
Something similar happened to my sister last year. She lost every single appliance in her home, including a new refrigerator she had just purchased.
I don't remember how it was resolved, but I think her home owner's insurance ended up paying for it. I know the power company didn't.
