Besides, and I haven't Googled this yet, but I heard last night that there's a Louisiana bid for secession now. So we might both be heading for purpler pastures before long. I'm thinking San Francisco. :D
Ahh, yes. The sheriff of Gretna, with his Mac-10 totin' stormtroopers. My brother and I had a run-in with them while we were trying to drive out of town.
They've been investigating Nagin (our former Mayor) since last June, trying to make a corruption case for him. I don't know what they're waiting for.

this year, with NO campaigning, NO politicing, not even any damn YARD signs...he got 3% of the vote. we're pretty fucking proud of that. :D

Our Governor, Bobby Jindal, was quoted as calling the Slidell man's bid for secession "silly", and assured the rest of Louisiana that the State had no part in the petition. LOL
So I guess I get to stay. :DDD
Today I passed a guy on Bourbon Street, who had on a ridiculously bright, Texas flag-patterned hoodie. I asked him, "Excuse me sir, but could I see your passport please?"
He didn't find that nearly as funny as I did.
