(Including the fifth sentence?)

"You know him?"
Wednesday shrugged. "I know who he is." He sat down, heavily, on the rooms only chair. "They don't have a clue," he said. "They don't have a fucking clue. How much longer do you need to stay in town?"

"In an oral history conducted by the Smithsonian Institute (Clark, 1977), Kenny Clark explained that his primary motivation in transferring the time-keeping rhythm to the ride cymbal was to free his left hand. ....The basic rhythmic hookup, or synchronization between the drummer and the bass player, in this sense is a function of how well the walking bass-line locks or is in the pocket with the ride cymbal...

Usually, there are many books scattered around me. Today, "The Leptin Diet" is sitting open on my lap because I was using it to respond to a comment a short while ago.

"For example, if you are leptin resistant, excess fat is often stored around your waist, right by your liver. Excess fat in and around the liver disrupts insulin signaling, leading to insulin resistance, diabetes, and a downward spiral that ages you before your time. Fat also clogs your arteries, which can cause a heart attack.

"Body Fats, Hormones, and Cancer. Since dozens of hormones are made and stored in fat, excess fat can disturb the normal hormone balance in the body, which may increase the risk of hormone sensitive cancers."

You're up early.
You going out to wrangle with the gypsies?

Pamra, half-terrified, had trembled. "Yes, Mentor," she had murmured.

"Anything you do badly, i have to answer to the Superior. You understand?"

She had bowed, hands folded, eyes down, only to start at the lash of something around her ankles, a stinging on her bare feet. She was staring down at a whip, coiled serpentlike around her feet, and the shock brought her eyes up to confront the snakelike stare in Ilze's eyes, covetous and cold.

"And if i have to answer," he had whispered, "so will you."

Screw you, I'm posting the *third* sentence. It'd be far too much of a shame to have to skip it.

"A number of years earlier, several vocalists had by chance died or gone mad after singing one or another Wagnerian role, given rise to a widespread notion that performing in Wagner's operas could cause death or insanity."
