Small blue happy objects

Sunday and Wednesday were both studio days, thanks to nudging from mathhobbit. Three of the four things I've put in for glazing recently came back. They are none of them perfect, but their flaws don't gnaw at me the way some flaws in things I've made do. The fourth thing I'd glazed was kicked back unfired because the glaze on the handle had chipped, so I ( Read more... )

Wednesday also involved a Madrigal staff meeting, during which Fearless Leader caused my head to explode multiple times. Madness, I tell you!

Yeah, there was a bit of explody on my side too. Some excitement, though, once I got past the explody-head.

My poor brain. Most of the pieces have been scraped back togther & are chewing this over, but that'll take me a little while.

Everything is so lovely but I especially like the tiny bowl! Of course! ;-) It's quirky but I love the shape & flow & color. You know...it'd make a good sushi dipping bowl.

Thank you! It would be perfect for dipping sauces were it not for the crack on the inside -- I would worry that food would get stuck in it and be difficult to wash out. Much to my frustration, I can't relocate the mold I used to shape it, which is putting a kink in my plans to try again, but I'll figure something out if it doesn't turn up.

I LURVE your little blue Heterodyne cup - I was wondering what it was when you were fidgeting with it!

And yes... Plot = Head 'Splody. Argleblargle. Need more rum and sleep (not necessarily in that order) for processing. O_o

Small objects in high-gloss glazes appear to be attractive fidget-toys to me. I may need to make myself some worry-stones.

Inflict shiny objects on cointeach? That did not work the last time I tried it.

Sleep, time, batting ideas around -- all much needed. Sadly, I think there's no way to introduce that sort of thing gently and without exploding brains.

Hey, at least you get to play in October. I'm not going to be at an event until November. #&#*%&@ scheduling. My apologies in advance for not being there to entertain you.
