The mass of coursework deadlines have passed. Now there's just one for two pieces on the 27th March (immediately before the Easter holidays) and further ones after that, but the massive bunched-together ones are over. When JSA eventually get their asses in gear and get our payment sorted out, it'll be back dated and I was hoping to come up to Derby with Martyn. I was thinking that maybe we could all go out for dinner - you, me, martyn, matt - and maybe we can go shopping or something?

I know what you mean about the card - I had a similar feeling when he made a point of letting me know he appreciated his birthday cake. If he'd managed to be any more adorable I'm afraid I would've had to abduct him.

Also, on the subject of cake rather than Neil, I was watching Rachel Allen on Saturday and she made a carrot cake which I might try out.

Well, it's as good a reason as any.

Never heard of Rachel Allen. We have a carrot cake recipe, though it's not as nice as the cake they had at the reunion, so if hers is comparable to that I may have to steal the recipe from you.

It appears to not be on the BBC website, so it won't be on iPlayer either. That means it'll be in an overly-expensive book later! It's certainly a moister recipe than most I've seen so might be more like the reunion one...
