Very realistic portrayal of Caroline being upset with Callie because Callie is cutting into the personal time Caroline gets with her dad. Mark is all that Caroline thinks she has in the world, and she's not ready to share him. Awesome that Callie and Mark have such honest, observant, and concerned friends in Derek, Cristina, Meredith, and Erica. They should hit up Derek and Meredith to babysit Caroline for them one evening. MerDer needs the practice. You are doing a fabulous job with the adult interactions and the adult/kid interactions. You have me totally invested in the lives of these characters. Great writing!

Honestly, this is one of the few fics that I still read every word instead of just the dialogue.

The mental image I had in my head of Mark seeing CAllie and Caroline in bed together snuggle under the covers was so sweet and it brought a smile to my face.

Mer/Cris/Cal the three of them I love when they get together and the little scene they had was great.

“Callie’s taking away Daddy Time,” he says without being prompted for an explanation." Awww Caroline is jealous of CAllie . I love Hanh Mark and Derek talking about him slepping with CAllie. Then playing risk was priceless adn I am sure Hahn won the game.

“I kinda like you in a more than sex and cuddling way.” “What do you mean?” ....AWWW YAY CAllie wants to date and MArk is just being so Mark.

"I fucking hate Candyland.” ... I LOVED IT!!!...LMAO

This was a great chapter and I can not wait to see how they grow as a family, because that is what I hope happens.

I seriously didn't intend Candyland to become such a big part of this story. Honest. But, hey, the things adults do for kids, right?

Since it seems to be a hot topic: I really wish I still understood the magic of board games. Last spring I had to do some clinical hours for school in a day care, and those kids were of course obsessed with Candyland. I spent most of the time staring at my watch. And then last week, I was playing [Shrek] Operation with my 8-year-old cousin and it just loses all its appeal when you can kick your opponent's ass without any effort. ANYWAY.

I think one of my favorite things about this fic is the interactions that we really don't see often enough on the show, eg. Derek & Callie. You write them completely in character, and they make sense, and they add a really interesting dynamic.

And while the scenes with Caroline were adorable as usual, I think my favorite part of this one is the ending scene...two characters from Grey's having an adult discussion regarding their relationship turns out to be pretty fascinating. Plus I always enjoy the snark.
