I wondered if Addie was going to talk to Derek's family at all and was glad she did. It makes me happy that she has so much support from both of her families.

I have this picture in my head of Derek sitting at a desk writing out that list and it just breaks my heart that he wasn't there to see Eden receive the rocking horse. The unorganized chaos of Christmas morning was great, though, just the way it should be. :)

This is just wonderful. I love the mother-daughter relationship that is shown throughout the whole story, from Addison and Eden to Addison and Rose and even Addison and Katie. The part where Derek is making a Christmas list in advance was just perfection, and this whole story made Christmas seem like a pretty good holiday. Lovely job, Sara.

If, in a moment of pure genius, I somehow devised a cunning plot or crazy caper that would allow you to penetrate the super-top-secret writing staff of one Shonda Rhimes, would you be willing to write me The Addison Story: An Unapologizingly Awesome Special Episode of Private Practice (of Epic Proportions)? A grand masterpiece of entertainment detailing the fabulously amazing lives of the Montgomery clan?

Please?

Hi.

This is awesome.

I love this story- a perfect mix of humor, fluff, and angst.

Going for best humor: Though remaining perfectly still, she watches in fascination as they take up their separate spots - one on each side of the bed - and Adair holds up one finger, then two, then three and then nods and they both pounce on the bed shouting “Merry Christmas!” and she joins their fits of laughter as Addison nearly levitates out of bed.Muttering that she’s going to kill them both very, very dead, Addison kisses Eden’s forehead and fakes a glare at her when she realizes that her daughter was unknowingly in on the action and concedes a laugh or two with her siblings. “I suppose we should head downstairs.” “Please. My kids have been eyeing things since about four-thirty and I will blame you if they explode from anticipation.” I couldn't cut any of it out either, because I laugh a little more with each sentence.

Best fluff: A sleepy noise escapes Eden’s lips as she settles against her mother again, nestling her head on Addison’s shoulder and hugging a teddy ( ... )

You pretty much have a five-paragraph essay here. Just a little more on the intro and conclusion and bam. /mock

Thank you. ♥

I don't think I've ever mentioned that I really love that you always upload the soundtrack at the end of your fics. And Sesame Street! One of my first loves. Although, it's weird...I know I watched the Christmas one countless times back in the day but I really have no memory of it. That said, I still have quite a soft spot for Big Bird.

So: fic comments. The first scene was beautiful. I really thought I had more to say on it...but it's left me. That was my favorite part though.

Derek and his Christmas planning was a great and poignant [ooh, I found a new word to use] image. And also very fitting.
It hadn't crossed my mind, but of course the Shepherds would still be in the picture. That was a nice surprise.

So many excellent parts to this. I want to read more, but then again, it ends in a good place too.

There are so many times when people base their fic off of songs or something and either don't tell us or don't upload it and I'm too lazy to go hunt for things on my own even if I want to hear it. So, when I can, I upload it for people. :) Glad someone appreciates it.

Thank you. ♥
