Is she not wiggling her baby teeth? That's why mine and my sister's teeth came in odd like that. (Four years of braces later...) Since the adult teeth are coming in, they baby teeth should be wiggling at the very least. (Obviously you know this already though. I'm just talking)

I think that it would be good to home summer school. My only "concern" would be that she might think that since you are being a teacher to her, then she might not listen to you when you are in teacher mode, ya know?

the bottom teeth are not loose at all. and the teeth are coming in too far behind the baby teeth to make them loose.

and she listens to me at homework time, so i think she'll do okay once I'm in teacher mode. at least I hope so

There's a book called Teach Your Child to Read in 100 Easy Lessons by Siegfried Engelmann. You should check it out and see if it'll work for Julliann. http://www.amazon.com/Teach-Your-Child-Read-Lessons/dp/0671631985

It helps the parent learn to teach their kid as well as help the kid read. My mom used it with all of us kids before we went to school, and we all turned out to be excellent readers :) It's pretty interactive, so give it a try.
