It's an action film, but it's nice to see one that means something more than just explosions and blood and guts. Snowpiercer was like that, too.

I was more satisfied by this than the end of Snowpiercer.

Me too. Oh lord, me too. I get the comparison (beautifully shot, starkly conceived dystopias, striking heroes), but this was a triumph whereas Snowpiercer was a "thank goodness that's over."

And don't feel about about not having seen the previous films. According to my brother who did watch them all as prep for Fury Road, they're all pretty bad.

I adored Fury Road- I'm so glad you did, too!

"Triumph" is a good way to put it.

I might watch the first Mad Max just so I have an idea of character development and all that. No hurry now, though.

I have no time now, but I'll try to catch MMFR in the cinema a second time after I get back from the tour.
