... You know, this may not be an achievement or anything, but I'm still kind of proud of myself. 1800 pages in 3-4 days. Yay ( Read more... )

*grin* "Hey, mom? You know how you always said you wanted grandbabies...?"
Thanks!

I see nothing wrong with locking yourself in your room and reading for 3 days straight. But I'm weird like that.

You're doing PRODUCTIVE things? I haven't done anything productive all month.

I don't see anything wrong with it, either, really...
But actually, I wasn't reading the whole time. I finished the first one and went more. NOW.
So I did leave the house. To go grocery shopping, and buy the next two books. Sadly, the second one took me almost day to find. I went to three bookstores - Barnes & Noble was the third. I was slightly frantic when I couldn't find it - I actually (gasp!) spoke to the people working at B&N. And then curled up in my room and didn't actually stop reading until this morning. I wish I could muster up that much enthusiasm for schoolwork...
Productive? Heh. Not really. I just pretend very convincingly so mom doesn't kill me, that's all.

I ... cooked dinner tonight. I think that earned me brownie points.

I can't wait to read all those great books! And I'll bring Wastelands (the post-apocalyptic anthology) with me back to school. And all those other ones I told you about.

Sounds nice...I've spent the last three days having classes and doing productive things (I know, eww)

What book(s)?

Stephenie Meyer's Twilight trilogy. I really enjoyed them. ^^
I know, I know, I should have probably stopped reading YA novels before I turned 20... But they're good! (They're also about 600 pages each. I wouldn't recommend reading them all at once, I don't think. I mean, I thought it was fun, but I'm crazy. We already knew that.)
