IIRC, Hamilton mentioned in her blog at some point that she was planning something like 14 books in the series.

My jaw, it dropped.

(I am greatly looking forward to reading SD -- LKH is one of my unabashed guilty pleasures -- but I draw the line at buying my crackfic in hardcover)
