Interesting to me that you tagged this book the way you did-- uninteresting. It's the first review I've read that was crital of the writing itself. It may interest you to know that it's actually a work of fiction, written by a person I know and know to be fabricating the whole story. Google her name and that of "Victor Greto" and you'll find a newspaper article from her home town exposing the book (and her) as a fraud.

I went to high school with Dawn, and the Greto article seems much closer to accurate than what I hear of the book.
