Oh huh, that sounds interesting! I've seen one write-up in which the reviewer didn't like the language, but... it has Chinese in it! Awesome!

I thought the language was beautiful, but I may be biased by appreciation for how authentically it mirrors the transition from Chinese to English. (Not that I have any personal experience with the matter, only theoretical ponderings...)

Haha, I'm way behind reading LJ entries. But anyway~ omg there was a curse? 0__o I guess it was one of the words I didn't recognize, or maybe my parents say it all the time and I just don't realize it's actually a curse. XD; I'd never be able to ask one of my parents to read something for me like that- too awkward. 0___o;; I think they still believe that I read.. like.. innocent little-kid books like Harry Potter. .__.; Not that I'm making much of an effort to correct them, ehehehe..

I didn't know it was a curse, but I asked my mom to read the passage out loud and she wouldn't read it verbatim. So I asked her why, and she told me the first few words were, erm, offensive. :P

Yeah, I ate the cake. It's... interesting. Perhaps your best baking effort yet, in that it was edible and moreso than the cupcakes, but it tasted a little "off."
