I was kind of sadfacing really hard that it was on the same weekend as Otakon. But Otakon? Free cruise to Bermuda...? Otakon will still be there next year. Of course the selfish side of me wants you to be able to go to Katsu, but if you can't go, you can't go. Have fun at ALA, and don't regret skipping Katsu for it! I'll be seeing you at Fanime for sure and the maybe Otakon.

I have come to learn that my most spontaneous, impulsive plans are always the most fun. Makes me wonder why I bother planning out so much. hahaha

BTW I want you to know how when you all were going back and forth on tumblr about puppies made me miss my dog over the weekend and want to cosplay a puppy. Oh I think Jenna talked about doing some 101 Dalmatian cosplay for Anime Boston

I really want to see you guys too though, it breaks my hearto to consider that I may have sacrificed Katsu completely. But oogh it's so expensive, I don't know if I could swing so many out of state cons in one year, especially East Coast ones! But I'm yet to really regret a con, I think. The funtimes come so easily :3

As much as I love the gaylord I am crying how expensive it is. Very torn between paying some more money to stay at the con hotel or saving my wallet a bit of cash and making myself walk to outside to get to the con. Time to weigh the scale of saving a bit of money or convenience, and ensuring myself I don't freeze since I know how cold I get in the winter. Why does sucking up and paying the extra bit of cash look more and more appealing? No I am a cheap bastard. I wish there was a Hyatt in that area, so I could have get an employee discount 'cuz of my mom.

I'm so glad you'll be able to do ALA. :) I know you were really hoping to go, and I'd say those awesomely priced tickets are a good sign it was meant to be. ♥ Actually, have you gone to Katsucon before and if so do you enjoy it? 2011 will be my first Katsucon; I'm super excited and nervous at the same time haha. A good friend had a room open and my student teaching had to unfortunately be postponed till the fall, so it somehow worked out. She keeps bribing me by telling me stories of all these amazing restaurants there hahaha. FOOD IS THE WAY TO MY HEART ~

Also, BY YOUR PHRASING DOES THAT MEAN THERE ARE MORE AMAZING DRAWINGS LIKE THE MALAMUTE AND HUSKY ONE YOU POSTED? I... I love that so much.

ahh Katsucon is lovely! Especially the new hotel, it's gorgeous! *w* FOOD IS THE BEST WAY TO ANYONE'S HEART though I don't remember a heck of a lot within walking distance that I could put in my tummy this past year.

So many people have mentioned how lovely it is there, I'm really excited to possibly see it :D SO TRUE. HNNNNGGHHH Food is pure love. They said they went to some crazy massive all you can eat buffet one night, and while a bit pricey it was apparently incredible. I'll have to ask them sometime if they remember where it was at or what it was called. :)

I really hope I have this kind of luck when I buy my plane tickets for Fanime 2012...but going from one side of the country to the other is most likely going to be expensive anyway...

I'm really excited about getting to go to a con on the west coast though! Something completely new for me to experience!

keep your eyes peeled for holiday sales on southwest.com, virgin airlines, etc. (I like Southwest for their free checked bags policy but there's always potential for cheaper flights elsewhere). Yeah, going from coast to coast is pretty costly :c!
