still figuring all this out...

So how often is one supposed to update one's LiveJournal anyway?  I joined pretty much exclusively for fandom communities, and I confess to not being entirely sure what else I'm supposed to do here.  I blog other places, so I don't really need to rehash those posts here.  And while I really, really invest in the fandoms I love, I do try not to bore ( Read more... )

One of my very favorite movies is Charade, staring both Cary Grant AND Audrey Hepburn. As a teenager everytime someone had a sleep over and made the mistake of saying bring a movie I brought Charade ( ... )

No, that SOUNDS awful. Ugh. Remakes tend to be crap though--not terribly surprising. If they were going to go the scar route, they could have at least done it right.

Pierce Brosnan is infinitely crush-worthy. ;).

Thanks for reading and even responding to my verbose ramblings!

I love so much of what you do! Except I fell out of the Stephanie Plum series by the ninth book. I really liked the earlier books in the series, but I got tired of it by book 9. Now I just tend to skim when I find them at the bookstore.

Another Dick Van Dyke Show fan!! *bounces*

Well, I knew I loved your writing, but apparently you're pretty darn cool as well. ;). Thanks for reading and commenting.

As for Stephanie Plum, book 12 was good and 13 was...decent. After that, they got boring and repetitive. I've read through 17. I have 18, but I just can't get through it. :(. And I find it sad that its such a chore now. :-p. the early ones were laugh out loud funny. Now it's just...bah.

The Dick Van Dyke Show is probably my all-time favorite. No matter how many times I've seen them, the shows are still funny. :-D

I remember seeing you around a bit before! Your name was familiar. :)

I agree, it's sad that the books got so repetitive. She needs to shake it up -- have Stephanie finally marry Morelli or something to change the status quo. I'm a huge fan of the J.D. Robb (aka Nora Roberts)-penned "In Death" series, and there's nearly 50 installments in the series now. But, it doesn't grow old to me because while it does have a formula to it, the characters are constantly growing and changing. Eve Dallas, the heroine, is remarkably different from the beginning the series, and the cast is constantly evolving. I just have all sorts of wonderful feelings for this series.

As much as I love Dick Van Dyke, my all-time favorite is Mary Tyler Moore. I just love that series so much. That and Murphy Brown motivated me to become a journalist.

Not watched a whole of MTM or Murphy Brown, but that's pretty cool that they inspired you. :)

I'll have to check the library for those books--always good to have something new to read!
