Thanks to Amazon Prime, I've been watching old episodes of I Love Lucy. Although parts of the shows are obviously quite dated (my, how times have changed!), they're still funny. My older daughter finds them hilarious

I love that "I Love Lucy" episodes made you think of SG-1. I used to watch them as a kid (half the time cringing through my fingers as Lucy got in deeper and deeper with her schemes). Nice observation about the running jokes with idioms and sayings. It's safe to say next time I stumble across this old sit-com, it's going to remind me of SG-1 as well and I like that thought. :)
