Fandom; Characters: due South; RayK and Fraser Rating: PG Word Count: 299 Challenge: Written for the ds_snippets Challenge #103, prompt: railroad Author's Notes: Unbeta'd. Just needed to get them out of my head.
I love how Ray thinks this is an obvious fact of life. Not something he likes, but not news. And how it hits Fraser hard, even though it's something that should be obvious to him, too.
Great description of Fraser's speech as fast, precise and pissed-off. Also, the end really gets to me--Ray not wanting Fraser to lose that belief in Justice. They really bring out the best in each other here. Oh, Ray. And oh, Fraser, too.
Poor Fraser thinks he's being offensive. After the week he's had, ferrying some rich and famous Candian lady around Chicago, he's just looking for someone to tell him he's wrong, they are making a difference. Thanks, luzula!
