Oh wow. This is the best dS vid I've seen in a long time. I love the song. And the vid just has the whole arc of Fraser's history in the series. All the Canada stuff in the beginning, and then coming back to it in the ending, with the zooming in on Ray and Fraser together. Sorry, I'm not coherent here. You made me happy. : )

Well, that is a lovely compliment, considering the great dS vids out there. Fraser's return to Canada with Ray, and that joyous look on his face, just get me every time. I'm so glad that it makes you happy, too!

Ok, now I've watched it a couple of more times (ok, a lot more), and I think you've done a really good job of matching the lyrics with the clips. It's great that you spend such a long time in the beginning with Fraser-in-Canada. Mmm. I need to rewatch the pilot.

I think vid-appreciating for me can really be blocked if I don't like the music, but this song is so great. I'll have to look up the artist.

It's great that you spend such a long time in the beginning with Fraser-in-Canada. I played around with the timeline a bit to show all of the Canada pieces before Fraser headed to Chicago - in the pilot, he returns to Canada to confront the killer of his father. But I think it works better this way.

I know I'm doing something right when folks rewatch my vids. Thanks for letting me know, luzula!

OMG I love all the changes you made! The snowglobe shot especially hit me in the chest--great choice, and I liked Janet Morse too. The new map worked really well, and I loved the ending! Really emphasize Canada and bring it back to the beginning. The ciiiircle of character developmeeeent! Ah, that was great. Good job.

The snowglobe is a change I feel really good about - I needed to emphasize WHY Fraser is rejecting Ray. And the untouched snowscape at the end resonates much better with the beginning. Thanks for the ideas on how to make it better, fenlings!

Just thought you might like to know that this vid is how I got my sister to start watching due South. I showed it to her and she was all "wow, I need to watch this series!".
*ponders how to introduce her to the concept of slash in a good way*

And this vid is definitely on my list of top five favorite due South vids (or it would be if I were to actually make such a list), for the way just summarizes Fraser's whole history. And I love the beautiful clips of Fraser looking vulnerable that you've got at the line But he never made a sound.

That's great, luzula, I never thought of this one as a recruitment vid. I'm feeling really low about my vidding right now, so this was the perfect time to get such positive feedback.

Thank you so much, Jesse!

Any balancing of the directional panning was purely unconcious, but I'm glad that it worked out well for you.

Thank you for the comment, sol! This one makes a nice antidote to "An I Getting Through?"
