HOLY SHIT! This is amazing, I am sorry for cursing in your journal, but seriously. That song is eerily appropriate for Sherlock, and this whole vid gave me chills. Chills! I don't actually think I've seen a post-Reichenbach vid from Sherlock's POV before, but this is so spot-on we won't need any others. I'm sorry I can't be more coherent, but my jaw is on the floor. BRB rewatching forever!

Cursing in a the service of squee is always appreciated. It's the first song I've heard that truly made me feel like I was in Sherlock's head, in his world. And so I HAD to vid it. Thanks for the comment!

I am glad you think so. Also, I forgot to mention that I rec'd your vid on my DW (http://calvinahobbes.dreamwidth.org/76025.html), and now I've dared to make a bare-bones summary of What It Means in the comments, so if you want to stop by and tell me how wrong I am, I would only be intrigued ;o)

Thank you Andrea! There's several times in the show where Lestrade looks at Sherlock, and what I see in his face is, "I don't get this kid at all, but I love him anyway and I'd do anything to keep him safe if only he'd let me."

Very nice. I'm going to have to watch it a couple more times to get all the nuances. (I know I probably missed a couple.) But I like it!

Wow, this is PERFECT. Goosebumps all over the place. I don't think I've seen a vid with a better Sherlock pov.

Thank you, sprat! This song's the first one I've heard that seemed to fit with Sherlock as a narrator, so I HAD to vid it.

ho fuck this is brilliant. I can't quite articulate just how, but I absolutely love it, I adore the fragmented bits for the bridges between verses, and this different uses of the 'kill' lyric. Not having hear the song before, the lyrics and the matching experience worked brilliantly for me, as every bit was fresh and new. I adore this, you're so talented.

I can actually take some credit for the bridges, because while the original song has one very long bridge, my version has two short bridges that do and say exactly what I need them to. (And the sound effects, of course. Somehow Dessa seems to have missed out on the emotive power of a well-timedf gun shot.) And thanks for calling out the 'how to clean my kill' clips choices! I worked hard to evolve, and sort of invert the meaning of those over the course of the vid. Thank you llassah!
