[Well, she guesses the tea can be discarded momentarily in favour of the hug. She wraps her arms around him, because it's the closest thing she'll get to protecting him from everyone else. For now. For now, because she'll keep on striving and training until she's stronger, better.]

[His own arms wrap tighter and he smiles genuinely, not the usual fake ones he gives when he's in pain. And, always thinking of others first -especially her- he remarks:]

[She makes a small, irrecognizable noise at the back of her throat, brushing off his question with a simple:] Fine. [Then she pulls away from him, and gestures to the kitchen chair next to hers.]

I'm sorry. I didn't really believe it at first myself, but the more I thought about it, the more I realized it had to be true. I didn't mean to keep any secrets or anything.

[Sighs, and is silent for a while as she rises and fills up a tea-cup for him, setting it down in front of him.] Our village seems to have been erected up on lies, sometimes. I suppose...it does make sense, why you wouldn't tell me.

It sure as hell makes a lot of things unfair, though.

[Pokes at the tea-cup with his index finger a few times, pushing it across the table and pulling it back.]

As for the village... things will change. Pervy-sensei... Dad... they both said they trust me to do the right thing.

It's okay, though...I mean, maybe learning about it this way wasn't how I expected it to happen, but I've grown used to the fact that...there are a lot of things about you that I'm not originally allowed to know, but end up finding out anyway.
