Challenge 15: Let's Talk About...

Oct 09, 2020 16:35

My question is short and simple: What are you the most excited about right now? Fannish, personal, professional, small, huge... No matter what it is, I would love to hear about it. :D

I'm in the middle of binge-watching Death in Paradise, so I guess I'm excited about that. I got the first six series on DVD for cheap, and I'm almost done with series 5. I kind of like the mix of cheerful, colourful scenery and music and the horrific ways people get killed on that show... :p

Now I kinda wanna watch that cause it sounds interesting and I've been on a procedural kick lately (I'm actually considering watching Leverage too, lol), but I don't know if it would be a good idea, seeing that I'm really squeamish and horrific murders and me don't really mesh well. :D

Oh, do watch it! It's not very gory or bloody at all. You do see the "dead body", but at most there'll be a stab wound or a gunshot wound, but nothing too explicit. There is very little blood involved. The horrific part is usually the who and the why, tbh. They don't linger on those things though; it's really more of a whodunnit - the detective in charge has a whiteboard and all the suspects go on it, and then they'll try to figure out who could have done it, who would have had a motive, who has an alibi... it's all very Agatha Christie, including the "getting all the suspects together for the big reveal at the end" scene.

And the show itself is very bright and colourful and funny, too.

(But also Leverage. You can't go wrong with Leverage. *g*)

This is so shallow, but I am super excited that TV is going back to normal. For a while there, there wasn't a lot new to watch. Lots of shows on hiatus because of Covid. But next month several shows are returning to air, and a lot of others are heading back into production. It will be so good to have some new episodes of shows to watch!

The last two weeks I had a pretty stressful and busy uni session, so that took out a lot of my energy and brain power. Now I'm super focused on getting it back and doing stuff I've lagged behind on - like LJ challenges!

Oh gosh... there are actually a lot of negatives in my life right now but I did get Disney+ channel on a whim just recently and watched Newsies and I also found our that animationscreencaps.com has caps of it, so I'll be making art for challenges from that :).

Right now I'm most excited that Legends of Tomorrow has started filming season six, meaning we're finally getting the titles and some bts footage. YAY! Even though the first title is Ground Control to Sara Lance, which doesn't bode all that well seeing the subject matter of that song. :/ :P
