Yeah, I also think that sewing rounded corners is difficult for a beginner project but you did well enough.

Quilting takes time and patience but since you can start with squares and rectangles (= straight lines) and you don't need to worry about a perfect fit (like you would with clothes), I think it's a good way to practise sewing.

The corners were the worst part of this project,but thankfully it doesn't really matter how they look... *g*

I've done some googling on quilting and it certainly seems doable as a beginner as long as you stick with an uncomplicated pattern. I already have vague plans to make a quilt for my mother, and she certainly won't care if it's a little rough around the edges. :p
