It wasn't long before Kevas arrived. After asking if the other were ready he thought it best to grab a shovel before they left for the woods. There was no telling if Chloe's plan would actually work when they got there so he wanted to backup plan just in case. This place had a weird affect on everyone's abilities so there was no telling it would work even if there was a corpse.
Kevas tipped his hat to Derek and Chloe, greeting them both, before pulling Jack's maps out of his pocket and going over them. If they got lucky then they could get this done in a couple hours. That was one big if though.
He gave nodded greetings to the two when they arrived, but, as Chloe predicted, didn't say anything else. At least until Sollux's question.
"I'm good to go." Derek looked over at Kevas. "You want to take the lead, and I'll bring up the rear?" Made sense to have the guy with the map go first, but he wouldn't argue if the others wanted it differently. Except maybe to insist on going first, then.
"Just... remember the forest is like the tunnels. Don't look back, or you'll lose the group." Chloe hoped this expedition proves fruitful. Casting one last look at those around her, she set off toward the forest, falling in line wherever the others wanted her.
