I love it how everyone questions the image and their eyes, but no one questions the load of psychobabble about left brain vs. right brain. The article is a stupid quote of a completely unsourced spam email going around recently. The image itself is just a clever optical illusion which says nothing about your personality and everything about which point in the animation you concentrated on the image. You'll notice the image sometimes has a tendency to swap directions after a while (your concentration fades) or when you look away and look back. Clever effect though. If you pull apart the animated gif you can see roughly how they've done it (some of the frames do very strange things when the dancer is near perpendicular to the screen.)
Hmm yeah I've been told that left vs right brain isn't anything scientific at all, but most of us still believe gullible harmless fluff from time to time right? haha..
Yeah, sorry haha this one's just been bothering me for some time because everyone loves sending it in emails. Normally I love distractions, but I wish people would just send the nifty image and drop the ridiculous psychobabble.
I think for me it reverses when I shift my focus on somewhere else and if i imagine it going the other way first. it's because it's a shadow and there's no features that people can see it reversing.
