I knew you'd pick that one! I want to try it too. Great job with all that messy detail in the foreground. That is daunting, and you captured it so well.

I was almost done, and I was looking at the drawing trying to decide what to do to make it pop, and I just started putting these short heavy curved horizontal lines in the junk pile here and there in the foreground. I knew where to place them. It seemed to provide dynamism and moving tone that had action, even mild anger. Have to move more in that direction.

I am fascinated by these images from the Salton Sea, never gsving seen it, but have read its story, now seeing it displayed here feel even sadder and more dismayed.

I have a great series I wrote about Salton Sea. I'll pull up links later today and put them in a comment here. It is important that you read it in order.

Here you go. I did a whole series called "Salton Sea Immersion". The entries are listed first to last for that series. Also if you click on my "Salton Sea" tags, you'll find others. I've been back a few times ( ... )

Salton Sea IS a graveyard - dead dreams, dead fish, dead trailers.
