Have you seen Neil Jordan's Byzantium? I like it better than Interview With the Vampire, and I think you might enjoy it, seeing as it's about a mother/daughter vampire team. :-)

Interesting Interview With the Vampire factoid: Anne Rice wrote the novel in six weeks after her daughter died of leukemia (a blood disease.) Claudia is the intraject of her dead daughter.

I am totally over #MeToo. I was fine with it when it targeted actual examples of abuse, but now that it's, And he looked at me funny so I felt violated!, I have no sympathy for it. Fuck those vapid, privileged celebrities and their black dresses.

Oh thank you! I am going to watch Byzantium! Can't remember if I have or not, and if I did, it was so long ago. That is so interesting about Claudia! The whole blood thing is so interesting to me.

Yeah, MeToo is just so FUCKING IGNORANT. And those celebrities in their dresses . . . I have the same urge to whack their heads as I do when I think about the tricks who fucked over my body. Line them all up!

pre-internet I used to work, swim and spend evenings talking on the phone. Friends and I would exchange letters in the mail, even though we lived near each other. Thanks for the reminder to watch IWAV, which I havent seen for a long long while. Its good to turn the internet off every now and again

Yes, like you, I don't have a lot of people here where I live, but I have been enjoying living life more like I did before the internet. I hope you found a good book for the weekend. I was going to draw tonight, but climbing in bed with a book and the Fur Sharks sure sounds good.

I read a lot more than I do now pre-internet.

I wrote and drew my own superhero comic books.

I did stuff at the farm like plant big flower and veggie gardens.

I took long walks.

I really don't have the drive or energy for any of that now, anyway.
