good writeup. thanks.

i understand, i have the same problem with lord of the rings.. i never read the hunger games, but i never felt comfortable with the movies other than some comic book fantasy made for television then a movie, i don't know i try to see them each in their own rite, in their own genre, there are things we can do in books that we can't do with film and visa versa.

sometimes i want things to be left unexplained or hap hazard or unpredictable, not so slick and angst and dystopian to gain attention from an audience. i think these producers try too hard to play god. there is something to be said for b-moives in that way. they either overstate the obvious or leave a lot to our imaginations.

i'm sick and tired of the subject of fucking survival on this planet. its a story. we live in great abundance, we just don't embrace it as such being so separate and individual and competitive. it's like all there is is winning and the story is just collateral damage..

i'm pretty cynical these days.

I'm with you on the loose undefined endings. I like those best.

I am trying to be less focused on survival and more relaxed in just living. It's a challenge.

I've only seen the first part of Mocking Jay. Have to wait for Part 2 to make its way to 'free' status.

I was watching the "Adele - Live" show the other night. The host who interviewed her throughout her performance reminded me so much of Stanley Tucci's host role (minus the ludicrous clothing ... but not that far off). Life imitating Art or vice versa.

It's ALL Hunger Games. Life in the modern (or are we post-modern now?) world.

Ooooh I want to watch Adele - Live! The Hunger Games is one of the most realistic series ever written/made. It is REAL LIFE. Yep.
