" They grew themselves some wings and they took to soaring."

The Shared Spaces/Shared Voices poems have hit the street! Er, I mean buses. This is a new public art project in my city, possibly the first of its kind, that I'm lucky to be a part of. Many thanks to badland and down_city for their help and encouragement. My poem is on page 53 of the catalog. I have extra copies, if anybody wants one.

What neat pictures! Reminds me of a certain band we saw at Dragoncon:)
I'm glad Tree has an intersession break, as that will probably be good for her. I wish our school had one--I'm hearing about more and more schools having a fall break of sorts. And I'm glad to hear that your new creative writing class is going well.

Thanks! Yeah, I think she's enjoying the sleeping in. Middle school starts too darn early, for her and me.

HAHA, thanks! Well, like Ted Kooser says, and as I keep telling people, poetry isn't going to pay the bills, but occasionally I get lucky and it does help pay the tuition. That's why you have to do it for fun. I just need to figure out what kind of job I can get after college that will pay the bills, allow me to write, and not cause me to drown myself in a flooded ravine, but I probably have 10-15 years to figure that out. I think I still have your address, so I'll send you a catalog. I need to send one to G. too. I meant to take one when I visited them in the hospital but spaced it. I also have new school pics of Tree, so I'll send one of those too.
