Pilots wearing rings. It's such a lovely thought. And I love the idea that there was one to match Zak's. And that it's a family heirloom makes it even better.

Helo's surprise and awe, Kara's nervous anticipation, Bill's initial fury and then his relenting and even assisting--- three different beats that work so nicely together..

And of course he's her soul. I just love that she said it out loud.

She is! Reminds me of that great line in Wuthering Heights were Heathcliff says (I'm paraphrasing-- too lazy to look it up): "How can I live without my life? How can I die without my soul?"
