Deathly Hallows Part 2

Jul 15, 2011 18:10

Holy shark repellant Batman! Death Hallows Part 2 was awesome, which is kind of surprising given that I didn't care much for Part 1. I haven't been that tense during a movie since ROTS.

Carter is an amazing actress. She's PERFECT for Bella.

Awww you never felt bad for the dragon?

McGonagall was TOTAL BA!!

Fred should have died on screen. But seeing Ron cry, that broke my heart.

Charlie would have been awesome!!

Not really. I felt bad that it was stuck down there, but didn't really think about it. Seeing the physical damage made a difference. I never really felt bad for Snape, either, until today. I always thought he was kind of pathetic for not letting Lily go. I still see him that way, but movie Snape gets a little more sympathy.

Ron's tears is what did me in.

Yeah that makes sense. It sometimes takes me seeing something for it to fully hit.

Yo, Alan freaking Rickman tore the Snape part in two. Rowling could have never imagined anyone as good as Rickman is portraying Snape.
I know, that made no sense.
But I didn't feel that emotion that Rickman put into that role.

He IS pathetic, and I don't really like him, but....gah, Rickman is the man.

Rickman is Snape. He made that character.

And that did make sense. ;)

I loved the dragon too. I'ma gonna take it home.

Alan Rickman ruled that role. The memories especially. I really liked the touch of, instead of having silvery stuff float out of him, they put the memories in the tears. Nice touch.

Too bad they never mentioned that Tonks was pregnant, eh? One of the friends I went with has read every book EXCEPT Deathly Hallows, and he was all like 'wth, Lupin had a son?'

Neville, totally badass. WIN.

And the big final duel was supposed to be watched by everyone. The reason Harry got in the way was because Voldemort was turning on Molly - who is the closest thing to a mother that Harry has ever had.

Dead bodies for good guys but not for baddies was lame. Voldy should have had a corpse too.

I really loved the movie overall, and a lot of the changes made more sense, cinematically.

In Part 1, I think Tonks was about to tell Harry before the "Seven Potters," but Moody interrupted. But yeah, they should have said that at some point. It was just shoved in there.
