A certain old fanboy I know complained about the absence of Ant Man, a founding member of the Avengers, but on the whole we had a good time. I haven't seen any of the earlier Marvel films that led up to this movie. Yeah, I know, my bad. But I've seen enough clips to know Downey has owned Iron Man since he first put on the suit, and people I trust who know the genre loved Captain America ( ... )

I got to see it and liked it a lot.

Wish I had seen that advise about where to sit! LOL!

Amazing we even got seats though. 1:30 in the afternoon and it was all but packed.

And thanks for the great words on "Smash." I do have eclectic tastes!

Sorry, Brit person here, the Avengers will always mean John Steed and Emma Peel to me. :D I am still looking forward to seeing the movie, though.

I am trying to figure out which was first. Stan Lee created so many of his great comic books (most but not all with Jack Kirby) in 1960 thru about 1965, the the Brit show was around 1961...

Doesn't matter. Both are so much fun.

I hated that remake movie though. *shudder*
