really fitting ending! Although I could tell mary would have died, I was honestly hoping you would have it different and let her live, but it's still good, awesome story overall. Keep up the good work :D

Thank you for reading! I always intended this to end with it just being John and boys. I did toy with idea about halfway through of letting Mary live but I decided against it as I just couldn't get the ideas I had for the sequel to work right with Mary still being alive. I also found Mary's character extremley difficult to write for and I'm still not totally happy with how I've written her in parts of this, so when I tried to work he rinto the sequel, I just couldn't seem to get her character to fit the way I wanted.
