[30 Days of Fic - Day 22] "Lessons Learned"

With a murmured word, Ari awoke. He tried to gain his bearings, only to have something that felt like a baseball bat strike him in the side of the head, sending him sprawling into what felt like a wall, but wasn't.
"This is your fault," Aries said from far far away. "If you just weren't such a fucking child, this wouldn't be happening.
"Ari," Beckah called out, terrified, struggling.
A kick took Ari in the stomach, a brutal thing designed to damage anything it hit.
"You're both such children!" Aries berated her, grabbing her chin, making her turn and look towards him.
"You don't have to-" she begged.
"Don't have to what? Show that some child, some fucking first year isn't going to make me into the school laughing stock?" He grabbed the back of her head and turned her towards the carnage again. Two of Aries' crew had picked Ari up off the floor of the library. His arms were pinned behind his back and the biggest of them was smirking with devilish glee. He held in his hand a blackthorn club, which he applied judiciously to the inside of Ari's right knee, dropping him to the floor again.
"Gimme the bag, Aries." The evil looking man commanded.
Aries tripped Beckah and threw her down to the ground. "Don't move, or you'll regret it even more." Aries tossed the bag, a large gym-style duffle, across the space between them. The monster reached in and pulled out heavy gloves, like the ones used in the science lab. then he reached in an pulled a coil of vine out. He took his time, carefully wrapping it about his club.
It made the two guys holding Ari look nervous. Really nervous. Aries picked her up again. "Here's a lesson for you..." he murmured as the two smaller thugs got Ari back up to his knees, ripped open the front of his shirt and vest and kicked him until his legs were spread. "Hawthorne and holly. They hurt us. Badly. And you're about to see them hurt him.
The monster swung hard, wickedly so, his strike arcing upwards and catching Ari in the stomach. His eyes shot open and he screamed a terrible scream, the most terrible thing that Beckah had ever heard. When the club was pulled away, his stomach was bleeding and burnt, his breath ragged.
"You have a choice. You can stop this. Say you're mine and he might live."
"You think I'll be your fucking girlfriend after this?" Beckah sobbed, shaking in Aries vice-like hands.
"Everyone is somebody's. Say your mine and your little friend may survive to have stupid children of his own to send here some day. Don't and we'll kill him and make it so his body is never found."
"Fine! I'll go out with you," she sobbed.
"No, bitch, say the fucking words!"
"What?"
"Say that you're mine!"
She swallows, sobbing. "I'm...." She looked at Ari, just as the monster laid a second shot across Ari's stomach, stroking the other way, leaving an 'X' of destruction across his midsection.
"Say it!" Aries yelled, shaking her hard.
"I'm yours, Aries."
Magic swirled and locked the two together. Beckah's heart sank as she felt the mystical collar tighten around her throat, falling to her knees as the residual of Aries' command resonated through her mind. "I'm yours, Aries." She said, whimpering, bending down to kiss his feet. "I'm yours."
"Good," he replied in a tone of smug triumph. He left her there and turned back to Arachnav, pushing the monster aside. He reared back and kicked him between his legs, sending another cry of agony reverberating throughout the library. "Beat him unconscious, then come back to the suite."
The goons nodded, all but the monster laughing.
"Beckah, come."
He walked off and she followed, her own desires completely unbidden as she followed her cruel dominar out.
