Did you know that slugs can pull in their horns? I think it's a defence mechanism, so you can't tell which end is the important one, and it just looks like a lump of slime. Pretty cool to watch. I discovered as much when I rescued one from the shower. Again ( Read more... )

I just sat on my bed and it went CRACK! because the slat broke. It is where I sit when I am using 'nando, so I suppose it has been under a greater amount of strain than the others.
