That makes five days I haven't managed to go to the shop despite meaning to. Though I did go to other shops and keep myself somewhat supplied with caffeine. Sigh

Whoever thinks that the average woman has 50 pairs of shoes must have got their data from a very specific sample group. I don't think I've ever had more than about 10 pairs at any one time in my entire life (including when I was taking about 4 different types of dancing lessons in primary school), and I'm aware that I might not be typical compared to girly-girls, but if you tried to get that many shoes into my bedroom there wouldn't be room to move, especially if you also have 40 pairs of trousers, and maybe a hundred odd tops to go with them. Maybe this is just an average of women who can afford to have someone else re-organise their cupboards when they realise they are arse-deep in designer clothes.
Cheap tiles are good if you are putting them up yourself. Usually tiling tends to involve the cutting of tiles, and the inexperienced tend to accumulate a small heap of broken tiles when this happens.

Oh, cheap tiles for definite, I am just astounded at how much people are apparently willing to pay. And I will put the bits in a box intending to use them for crafts and forget about them until I move out, probably. Ho-hum.
I am impressed by the sign-upping Metalwork is clearly splendid and I am having to remind myself that I should not be going a tiny bit OMG ENVY because I did find my Dream Craft and still have squee.
I gather there are various pottery things happening in the hip arty bit near the cinema co-op. Maybe I should Investigate that. I like shaping things. We need a good range of crafts for when we all move into hobbit holes dug in the same hill.
I may have started looking at welders on ebay. Not that I'm actually going to get one, because, hi, my commitment level on such things is not that high. But you are doing books and that is Awesome.
Pottery could be good fun, yes.
The hill has to have a stream in it, btw, for electricity for our internets.
You will not need to be committed because it will be exciting and nifty and involve Big Shiny Tools. Thus it will draw you unto it with its excitingness, and will not seem effortful. I was confused when that happened, but it was quite pleasing. Getting the tools for stuff is also quite exciting, particularly if it means you can play with them at home. My things I will need first are shears and scalpels I think. I believe Derek will get things in bulk, thus reducing the postage and actually-finding-things issues. Welders are fantastic and I think that having one is its own reward.
Currently when I get to the end of bookbinding I think Oh no, no stuff to do until next week! I feel this is a good sign probably. I might see if the co-op cinema needs volunteers for its daytime family-friendly showings, since I will not have to feel like the least cred person there quite as much. Also, free children's films! Wheee!
The stream is indeed vital, because the solar panels will power an egg timer if we're lucky.
