Wasn't the coughs and sneezles thing from a public health information film?

Wandering in those stores sounds awesome!

Maybe? I don't know. I have a brain full of random and no idea where it comes from.

The stores are pretty cool. Of course, some stuff is locked up - there are filing cabinets, with the shallow drawers, for medals and things, and they have big chains run through all the handles and padlocks on them, which is kind of incongruous - and I'm not supposed to touch anything, but still. And the paintings are on racks, big long rows, and you pull one out and there are paintings hung on either side. And in another room is the library, with winding shelves and a few desks and then, suddenly, there's rows upon rows of shelves of stuffed animals and birds, and a few birds hanging from the ceiling, twirling gently in the breeze from the air conditioning. Or, short version - awesome.

Coughs and Sneezes Spread Diseases was up in the ward this year when I visited Granny. From public information to pop culture and back, the clever wee sentence. It pays to rhyme.

Is that pop culture Thomas, though? in the specific sneezles case.

I caught my current cold off a real person also with a cold! No more spontaneous generation for me! Clearly human cold are better than hermit ones that you get anyway.

I still can't knit Continental because of a mixture of my extreme right-handedness and my hands cramping if I try, but also because am a bit hopeless. Knitting things is good. I have books and stuff about but they are here and you are there and that is bad.

Oxfam have a knitting-squares thing going on at present if you need Projects and, um, don't mind knitting squares. As long as they're 9"x9" and doublish knitting you can do mad things with them, so it isn't too mindnumbing.

But would my cold really have taken a week to germinate?

I have one book. Somewhere. I think. But I have also found websites. I want to do a moebius scarf, and a klein bottle hat, and another hat I saw that I thought was cute, and and and... I'm not particularly lacking in things to try. Just in motivation. And, as yet, in the necessary items. Oh, and lookit - cute or creepy?

Agh. I had. Agh. I left thing because of appointment but I missed bus and next bus was late and then I had to break a twenty and I stupidly went into a bookshop and I was quick but not enough and then bus was slow and then I got there and the woman had left five minutes before. And, just to top it off, on the way home, Maureen and the boy drove past. I think they just arrived home. She did, anyway. Agh. I do not want to go tell this. This sucks. May make post of Moan later. Feel better for having eaten cake, though.
