Today I woke up really late again - I hadn't slept very well as there was a lot of noise from wind and rain outside which I think kept waking me up. Anyhoo the day started with doing some work for the bellydance mentor as the membership website had gone down with a 'critical error'. As the mentor was travelling back from France I ended up dealing

What a shame about the shortened French visit and how nerve-wracking trying to get back like that. We are busy hoping we didn't catch Covid from our family gathering on Monday. People had done lateral flow tests which hopefully means we should be OK, but we can't be sure yet.

At least This variant seems to be more like a bad cold and if you’ve no underlying health issues people seem to be recovering OK. I think there’s probably a lot of people that haven’t reported having it so numbers are higher. Our local hospitals have cancelled all visits so I think they are worried. Hopefully you’ll be OK.

Goodness, it's been 5 years since you moved? The loss of the last 2 years has really messed up my sense of how long ago things happened.

It doesn't feel like 5 years, but yes - 5 years at the end of August! It's quite surreal to us as this house seems far more like home and I've really forgotten the 25 years we spent in the other house!

As you know, my Christmas spirit this year was more MIA than not, so I've already started picking up the few things I did manage to get out. I always leave my wreaths up because January is such a gloomy month.
Testing is hard to get here as people are swarming the sites, and the kits are becoming hard to come by. I haven't even given any thought to it. Unless I get symptoms, I'm just not interested in invested so much time waiting in lines.
The belly dancing mentor is very lucky to have you!

Testing is really getting difficultly here. Even the lateral flow home kits are gone from stores before hardly anyone can get one. It’s very frustrating at the moment I have a box and a half which I am hoarding!
