I am - I know they are independent (and have been for ages really!) but it’s nice to have it confirmed that we aren’t really needed any more and they can make their own way without us.
West Wickham - Wickham Bay Seafood in the High Street. Really good fish - tiny place but very popular. Then we went to the new Real Ale Way opposite Boots. Both were very good.
West Wickham High Street is turning into a mini foodie destination at the moment. My hairdresser lives there and he said several new places were opening up. We were there for lunch back in August but that was only for a snack. Must find an excuse to hop on the bus again :)
Venturing out, especially to crowded venues, is a bit scary, isn't it? As you say, at some point we have to trust that we're protected. Independent grown-up children feels very rewarding, doesn't it? Job well done, I tell myself.
Yes, I am very twitchy still about how close we all were and how small the venue was. I'm sure I'm fine *crosses everything again*
My children are adults as they are 30 and 28, but they seem suddenly to be making life choices that are really good for them and we are just told after the fact. I'm very pleased as it means they are independent and happy and that's how it should be.
