Yesterday it was lovely and sunny for a lot of the day and Mr Cee had the day off trying to sort out the lighting problem. It turned out that he'd knicked a wire when he drilled a hole in the wall to put up the tapestry in our bedroom and that was enough to trip the circuit. He dug into the wall (because they had plastered the wired into the wall

They don't leave the packages on the doorstep if no one is home or answers the door in England?

No - if it’s a large parcel they would want to have someone sign for it. Sometimes I can say they can leave it on the property (for example Amazon parcels can have that option). As the delivery was for a small dishwasher they wouldn’t leave something like that.
