In other news I have been trying to import my Lj over to Dreamwidth just to back it up and so far it's been 'waiting in a queue' for 22 hours. I'm so tempted to forget about it, but I'm stubborn....
Just leave it to tick on in the background. EVERYONE is importing that's why it's slow.

Oh I *loved* InsaneJournal. <3 Still have mine, although I never do anything with it. Wish it was possible to import to it, as I prefer it to DW. It's just quirkier. ;)

I am amazed Insane Journal is still going. I haven't looked at the reading list there and I agree it's more fun than DW.

I have a feeling that DW will screw everything up as some people have found that it duplicates previous back ups. I suppose I'll eventually find out.

It took over a day to do my latest back up to DW. I have it all over there but locked down as I'm not 100% confident about the import of privacy settings.

I remember Insane journal and greatest journal, never had one though I did briefly read on Journalfem

It's still in a queue, but I'm just letting get on with it. I have to remember not to close the browser on my laptop though!!! I agree that it's worth locking it all down as I'm not convinced it's going to copy accurately.

Greatest Journal disappeared, so I was really surprised Insane Journal is still there!

I'm leaving it to get on with it, and I'm not really surprised. I am concerned I'll completely forget I've got it running though and close my browser. I've had to write myself a post-it note to keep it open! LOL!

They emailed me from insane journal to say my account would be purged if I didn't sign in and is thought it was long gone!  Because I can't bear to relinquish anything I've signed in again....

Interesting! I don't remember getting an email but it may have ended up in my junk folder I suppose.
