Happy St Andrews day!!

It's St Andrew's Day and I shall be celebrating my distant Scottish roots later (Scottish great grandfathers) by having a wee dram...

In the meantime this week we bought ourselves a new gadget with birthday money we both were given this month (it's great both of us having a birthday in the same month). It's this!

I haven't had Drambuie for ages (ETA I thought "ages" and typed "ever" for some reason...)!

I was thinking a Drambuie would be ideal in actual fact :)

It does look lovely. Given that I use a shop vac on everything except the rugs... yeah, probably wouldn't do my house twice on one charge. LOL But then, I have 5 hairy dogs that bring in leaves, twigs, straw, etc. As do we on our shoes which we can never seem to remember to take off until we've tromped all over the house. *sigh* f

It's just different. Double-coated dogs have all this lovely, fluffy soft air that floats all over the place. :) But at this time of the year, it's really the yard debris that comes in on their hair that makes for such a mess. I think the little pieces of dead leaf are sneaking in under the doors...

Interesting - I'm looking at getting either a cordless vacuum (been looking at the Dyson) or a steam cleaner with Christmas money, so will look into this one when I'm closer to deciding.

I've been sorting out my Christmas labels today, and I've got cards but haven't got any further yet. I have checked last posting dates though, so will be getting some written fairly soon.

Happy Saturday - enjoy your wee dram!

I do like my steam cleaner - not sure I use it as much as a vacuum. It does bring up my laminate floors well though.

I bought both the cordless Dyson ( make sure you get the kit with the pole to turn it into an upright) and a steam cleaner this year and I adore both!

It was your cordless Dyson that got me looking at them - it made the cleaning sound like such fun!! *g*

I'm going to ask for steam cleaner opinions after Christmas - I've got friends here and on FB who have them, and I'm undecided as to whether an upright sort or a cylinder type is best.

Happy St Andrews Day!

The new toy looks great! I bought a cordless Dyson Animal with a pole to convert it to an upright and I love it and use it daily but also just got a Vax cylinder for the weekly clean
