This is top of my list of must see exhibitions and it looks as if it is well worth it. I often wonder if part of the seemingly endless fascination with the Tudors is because Holbein brought them to life so vividly for us. We were waiting for the Christmas hols to be over but now I definitely must sort out a day to go as John wants to come with me, which he doesn’t with all exhibitions.

It’s definitely with going to! M really enjoyed it as well and the audio guide at the Queens gallery is really good. It’s not too busy either.

This explains the paint that bears his name. I have not had access to this brand of paint…maybe some day.

They were fantastic, and some really felt like you'd want to meet the sitter as they had such interesting faces.
